Probation for woman who bit daughter
(08-03 14:41)

A single mother who bit her daughter's arm to teach her a lesson has been sentenced to a year's probation by the Fanling Court. The magistrate also ordered the 31 year old to undergo alcohol counselling.

The case came to light after the accused took her six year old daughter to a hospital following a fall. The doctor noticed a set of teeth-marks on the girl's arm and notified the authorities.

The woman earlier told the court that she had bitten her daughter out of frustration, because she did not know how to protect herself from school bullies.
