Mumbai court allows bail for cartoonist

A court in Mumbai granted bail to an Indian cartoonist whose arrest on sedition charges over his work lampooning the government has triggered outrage, AFP reports citing local media.
Aseem Trivedi, a freelance cartoonist and anti-corruption campaigner, was arrested on Saturday but was granted bail by a judge in Mumbai today, the Press Trust of India and NDTV news channel reported.
