Renault's launch of the Fluence was at the Hong Kong Science Park, with many VIPs in attendance. They included French transport minister Thierry Mariani, Secretary for the Environment Edward Yau, France's consul general in Hong Kong Arnaud Barthelemy, and Schneider Electric president and CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire. The Renault Fluence is a 100 percent electric, zero emission (ZE) vehicle, the result of many years' extensive and committed research and development.
The Fluence is a spacious business- class sedan. With no gear shifts and instant acceleration, it redefines driving pleasure.
Electric vehicles are the only clean- break solution as they do not produce any toxic emissions.
In addition, the Fluence ZE signals the disappearance of exhaust fumes, with no unpleasant smells and no more smoke. It represents clean and quiet motoring and will radically change the quality of life in urban areas.
The Renault Fluence ZE is the first affordable, all-electric, full-sized saloon car and completes Renault's offer in this segment with a version that does not produce any emissions while on the road.
Tricoire said: "We are extremely pleased to be partners in the launch of the Renault Fluence ZE, and to provide the electrical charging infrastructure.
"Through this partnership, Schneider Electric reaffirms its ambition to offer simple, energy efficient and accessible charging solutions for future electric vehicle users."
