A cut above
Well, I hope the new Mazda CX-5 is in some ways similar to the world-famous Mazda MX-5, which is probably the most fun car ever from Japan.

High and mighty
They call the Nissan Murano a crossover, and you can feel that when you first sit in the car. You note the higher driving position of an SUV, which is a good safety factor. It also makes you feel a bit regal, looking down into other cars. But with the sophisticated, car-like interior and the smoothness of the handling, within a few miles you may forget you are in an SUV.

Hybrid for the city
Toyota has led the hybrid race for decades. Its model types have increased over time and, in addition to sedans and MPVs, Hybrid Synergy Drive has now crossed over into hatchbacks.

Unexpected success
When it was rumored that Mercedes- Benz would produce a "Baby Benz," my first thought was: "NO! Don't do it!" Mercedes-Benz has, for decades, been the symbol of success in Hong Kong.

Compact crossover
The all-new subaru XV is a happy blend of sports car and compact SUV. One visible sign of the SUV is the raised position of the driver, giving greater visibility in traffic for safety, plus a touch of royalty.

The greenest!
With fuel economy standards shifting into high gear, automakers have provided American consumers with a huge array of vehicles and technologies to choose from in 2012.

French flair
Peugeot has been in Hong Kong for many years, under various distributors and with mixed success. Now it seems that, with the Sime Darby motor group backing the French brand, we are to get the benefits of a fine product line.

Join the Club!
Anyone who thinks Lotus might be moving away from performance through extreme light weight, only needs to take a quick ride in the new 1.6 Lotus Elise Club Racer to know that's definitely not the case.

Mini works of art
The occasion was the "Mini. Let's Spring! Exhibition" - a collaboration between Mini and local design students. The innovative British marque introduced another cultural journey under the theme "The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring," with the help of students from Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Design.

Premium package
The first thing to note about the new Subaru Forester Premier is the suspension. Always firm yet comfortable, it has now been upgraded to very firm, similar to that of the Turbo version.

Daily supreme
Bentley's new continental GT, a luxury coupe that lives up to the proud legacy of one of the automotive world's most distinguished names, is now available in Hong Kong.
