Super Tuesday's vote looks vital but not decisive
Voters in 10 US states will have their say on "Super Tuesday," with Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum vying for supremacy in the battle for the Republican presidential nomination.

Something to chew on
I'm glad for the recent fracas over a child eating noodles on the MTR and being told off for it because that highlighted a problem that has been going on for a long time and it seems it has made the MTR Corp jump into action. Good!

Officials are only human
A rational look at the private life of public officials - who are human and no man is perfect - is needed.

Witchhunt not needed
With reference to JS Lam's article on "pak pai" and Donald Tsang Yam- kuen's travels ("`Pak pai' payment is the big question," The Standard, March 1), the one real lesson we all should learn is to stop McCarthyism.

We all need a vote
The scandals involving the two Beijing- friendly chief executive candidates Henry Tang Ying-yen and Leung Chun- ying mirror the serious defects of a small- circle election comprising only 1,200 mostly pro-central government members. Let's hope, however, this episode could trigger off a rethink from "grandpa."

Hassle nothing new
I don't understand the sudden interest in the flap over designer fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana banning photographers; I wrote about this idiotic policy on my Leg 3 website nearly five years ago and even then it was nothing new.

Clicking with disabled
A recent article said the government is "mounting a Web Accessibility Campaign to promote awareness of the need to make websites accessible, and to encourage businesses and organizations to adopt accessible web designs," ("Disabled to gain with drive for easy web design," The Standard, December 28.)
